CyberSecurity Information:

Middle Peninsula R.A.C.E. has been awarded several PluggedIn Virgina (PIVA) Grants to support workforce development in the Middle Peninsula. The grants were used to provide scholarships for training in Dental Assiting with X-ray Certification in 2014 and Cyber Security with comp TIA A+ Certification in 2015 to recent adult GED recipients and current GED candidates. 

Local employers and Middle Peninsula residents interested in training for specific career strands should contact The Job Assistance Center or Middle Peninsula R.A.C.E. to help establish new PIVA Training Cohorts. Scholarship is available for eligible candidates. Background check and drug test required for Course participants. IT ESSENTIALS:

This course is an overview of computer architecture, which stresses the underlying design principles and the impact of these principles on computer performance. General topics include design methodology, processor design, control design, memory organization, system organization, and parallel processing.
